Hi everyone I just want to stop by really quick and tell you all that I have a SALE going on over at my shop if you use code: YOUROCK25 you can receive 25% off. I am also having a giveaway on my facebook page.
Back in January When my oldest turned 6 I wanted to have something fun at her birthday party food wise so I made up some of these Cherry pie pops and cupcakes that everyone was in love with :o).
~Can of cherry pie filling
~Pillsbury 2 count pie crust
~Popsicle sticks (found where candy molds are and such)
~butter, milk or egg wash
~cookie cutter any shape smaller side
Take your crust out of the package and roll it out, then you just take your cookie cutter and start cutting your shape out as many and you can get.
If there is dough left after all of the shapes being cut out which there always is, just break out your rolling pin and re-roll the sucker out and get a few more pie pops out of it.
Now place them on a lined or greased sheet far enough apart so you can squeeze those little sucker sticks on the cookie sheet.
here comes the fun part drop a cherry and some sauce on each piece of dough you just laid out on the cookie sheet then you just take your top piece of dough and pinch the dough shut.
It may leak out a little but that is A okay the little cherry is still nicely sealed inside :o)
Now you just pop them in the oven for how long the pie dough says and VIOLA golden lushes mini Cherry Pie Pops. Now try not to eat them all before your event you maybe going to with these goodies. I may or may have not eaten a handful before we even arrived to her party :) but don't worry there were still plenty of them to go around.
I hope you go run to the store now and make a million little pie pops that are so easy to make and so good to taste.
Trent turned 1 on May 17th so only a couple of weeks ago and I just now got around to making him a mobile I now how horrible is that? It's terrible, but on the up side he is absolutely in love with it he points to it all the time he wants to play with it. I'm going to show you how I made it :)
What I used
-a wreath from the dollar store
-a two pack of comic books from the dollar store
-thread or whatever you would like to hang the planes from
-tape or glue whatever you want to attach the planes to the thread with
-ribbon any color you would like to use
You want to cut each plane like this pretty basic really no need for a template but if you do need one, i'm sure you can just google paper plane template..you know google can be a very useful site at times ;)
fold your piece of paper in half.
open it back up .
fold in each sides to make a narrow point, wide base.
fold it on to each other, same way you folded it to start it.
now take each wing and fold it out ward away from the inward original fold.
You just created a paper plane how easy was that? Extremely!! Repeat as many times as you would like, then what I did was I placed thread inside of the plane and just put tape over the thread easy peasy. I like how they are going all different directions exactly what I was going for. The wreath part I just wrapped lace ribbon around although i'm not a huge fan of it and probably will add something more to the wreath part. I took the thread that was attached to each paper plane and just tied it around the wreath where I thought like it needed one, you could make them the same length higher to lower what ever you prefer. I then took some of the lace ribbon cut four same length pieces tied them to the wreath and hung it to the ceiling..
The comic book paper plane mobile literally took me 20 mins to make, simple cute and adds a touch of something new, I made paper planes because Trent's room is going to be a superheros room and it goes with the theme...its a bird, its a plane, no its super man ;)
Hi everyone I have one yummy recipe for you today, I made these blueberry mini "pies" a couple of weekends ago, they only lasted throughout the weekend..they were that good..So lets get started on showing you how to make them they are so easy I made them plus cooking all in about 20 minutes now that's a fast yummy dessert for you!
Blueberry mini "pies" recipe
-refrigerator pie crust comes with 2 in a package
-and a cookie cutter
The first thing you want to do is preheat you oven to 375 F, then take your yummy blueberries put them in a separate bowl I used about half of these blueberries. You then want to sprinkle some sugar on them just enough to coat them.
Like so, its just enough to coat every little blueberry you could always add more or less depending on your taste and likes.
Now go bust out your favorite cookie cutter, and just think the smaller the cookie cutter the more pies the bigger the less simple knowledge but good to know if you want to bake a lot for a party or get together. I used a bigger one because they were just for my family so I didn't need that many just enough to satisfy us. They were a good size to even put a scoop of ice cream on top and go add it.
If you have extra dough like you can see here that I did I just rolled it up took the rolling pin out of my overly crowded cooking utensil drawer and rolled it out flat again then repeated the process until there was no dough left.
Place the bottom pie pieces on a either sprayed/foiled/parchment paper pan, next i smeared a hunk of cream cheese on the dough then piled it high with my sugar coated blueberries. Yum don't they look so good already, I want to make some more right now..
It many get a little crazy with those blueberries rolling all over the place but just keep piling them up because they will be nicely tucked in once you place the top piece of dough over them.
Once you have placed the top piece of pie dough on all that filling you many need to stretch it a little to make it all fit. Then you just take a fork and "seal" the edges so nothing leaks out.
Before placing them in your preheated oven to want to melt some butter and brush it on top you could also do egg wash what ever you feel comfortable with
Cook those beauties until golden brown and viola you have made your self some really yummy and good looking mini pies.
I cut it open so you could see what it looks like in the inside after they are cooked.
Result they were so good and like I said they only lasted a couple of days. If you make any please let me know what you think :)
